Greg Young, the owner of Level 7 came to us with a railing project for a Hollywood Hills residential makeover. Together, we collaborated to come up with a design that would add privacy by mitigating some of the views up from the streets below. To achieve this, we decided to arrange the Ipe' slats in a vertical orientation with slight gaps between. We did so by fabricating the steel post with a series of perforated tabs that would ultimately be hidden by the Ipe'. The resulting railings added an elegant, yet modern and warm accent to compliment the crisp, clean architecture of the decks and balconies .
