DESIGN: KING GARDEN DESIGN

The client wanted a respite from the sun as well as not blocking the view to the backyard. Erin King, the owner of King Garden Design, incorporated the pergola as part of an overall backyard makeover. She designed the pergola to have an open footprint and suggested using Thermory Ash for the rafters as it has qualities of beauty and sustainability along with being weather and insect resistant. We then utilized a single length of tube steel which spanned the entire width of the house which allowed for an unobstructed view from the inside of the residence.
